Nelson College for Girls is situated in the heart of Nelson City. It is unique in that it has a thriving Preparatory School and boarding hostel on our school grounds. Nelson College for Girls offers a comprehensive programme to all our students, ensuring they can fully experience the academic, cultural and sporting opportunities our school is renowned for.
To support our college in our journey of offering quality education and opportunities for all students, we are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Business Manager who will be driven to play a pivotal role in the future of our busy school at an operational and strategic level. This role will report to the Principal and lead the key functions of Finance, Property, Human Resources, and Admin across all our entities.
As our Business Manager you will bring strong leadership qualities along with financial experience, being either a qualified accountant or at a minimum having a B Comm with a finance major. You will need to be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of finance, accounting and cashflow management and able to prepare annual accounts across all entities.
To be effective in this role you will need good management, organisation and communication skills, as well as being solution focussed. In this capacity you will also need to possess excellent knowledge and understanding of the potential of digital environments, and outstanding capability to utilise these to enable timely and effective streamlined processes.
You will need to be dynamic in leading the teams that report to this role and build strong professional relationships with all staff at Nelson College for Girls.
Ideally you may have already come from an education environment or be self-driven to quickly learn the complexities of the education sector processes and systems.
