KAIĀWHINA | TEACHER AID
This is an opportunity for a passionate and committed team player to make a difference for our ākonga (students) by joining our team of talented and motivated teacher aides within the Learning support area of Te Kura Tamawāhine o Whakatū.
This role reports to the Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO) and we are seeking a positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen sense of humour, who can relate to ākonga from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs. You will need to have a resilient character and able to build strong relationships. Our kaiāwhina work across the kura – please state your curriculum strengths and passions in your cover letter.
This role is for 25 hours per week, 5 hours each day, worked between the hours of 8.50am – 3.10pm, Monday – Friday, during term time only.
Nelson College for Girls | Te Kura Tamawāhine o Whakatū is committed to safeguarding our ākonga and will carry out police vetting during any employment process.
Remuneration will be paid in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Teacher Aide Matrix, grade B-C.
