GATEWAY WORKPLACE CO-ORDINATOR – Permanent – 14 Hours per week

Nelson College for Girls is looking for an experienced administrator to work in its busy and vibrant Careers Department for an average of 16 hours per week, working as Careers Administrator.  

This position also undertakes the work of Gateway Workplace Coordinator, a further 14 hours per week, this role is fixed term until the end of the 2022 academic year. This role is highly likely to continue, however is dependent on funding.  

Hours for both roles, 30 in total, will be during term time and during school hours except on the odd occasion when a careers evening may be held. 

In the Careers Administrator role, you will be providing administration support to the small Careers team. You will be the first point of contact for the Careers Department where you will welcome students with queries, liaise with parents and network with many different training organisations/universities. 

You will be confident with event planning as you will often be organising career shows for students and parents to attend. You’ll also need to have some financial know-how as you will be administering the financials of different funding that the school is eligible for in offering opportunities for students. 

In the Gateway Workplace Coordinator role, you will actively assist students in their transition into vocational pathways by sourcing opportunities for students to have relevant work experience in their chosen interests. You will enjoy fostering collaborative relationships with our students as well as employers, business, industry, and tertiary providers.
