International Administrator - 15 hours per week
Nelson College for Girls is seeking to employ an International Administrator. This role is vitally important to our school, and you will need to have a friendly, calm disposition and be able to demonstrate experience and or your ability in the following areas
building strong, effective relationships with our agents and international students
marketing our school
exemplary administration and communication skills
attention to detail and ability to work within the International Code of Practice.
working in the Microsoft cloud IT systems.
This is a permanent role, of initially 15 hours a week to be worked over at least four days of the week. While this is largely a term time only role, there will be times in the holidays when you will be required to meet and greet new international students.
Over the last two years, Covid-19 has impacted on all secondary school’s international student numbers. When the NZ borders and visa restrictions allow for more international students able to take up education opportunities in NZ, hours are likely to increase.
We are therefore seeking someone that has the marketing skills, passion and drive to grow our student numbers. This in turn will require you to have the flexibility and capacity to increase the number of hours required in this role.
While we transition through this period, this role will also initially caretake the Homestay arrangements of our current international students and any future intakes. This will also include for a period of time looking after the welfare of our international students and working with our deans on any academic matters. Again, as numbers start to grow, we would look to adjust hours or appoint a dedicated Homestay Co-ordinator.
If you feel you have the skills to build sound relationships with international agencies, promote our school to build our international student numbers, coupled with lots of flexibility and understanding during these challenging circumstances then we would welcome your application.
Please apply by submitting support staff application form along with a covering letter and CV to ellie.harvey@ncg.school.nz by Thursday 19 May 2022.
