School RECEPTIONist and administrator

Permanent - part-time - Term time only

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Nelson College for Girls team, working in a vibrant and fun work environment. We are looking to employ a part-time Receptionist and Administrator, 15 hours per week, in a job-share, permanent, role. The hours are fixed 2.00pm – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, and Fridays 8.30am – 4.00pm during term time, except for the beginning of each year, when this role is required to commence one week prior to students returning. This role will commence on 23 January 2023.

This is a busy role, in addition to reception duties, you will also provide administrative support to our team of school Deans and other staff as required. You will need to be a competent user of the Microsoft suite and be confident to learn our other school IT systems.

Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills are imperative. You will enjoy working independently with a high level of professionalism and initiative, always with a friendly smile and a proactive can-do attitude.

Due to the job-sharing nature of the role, you will be comfortable with a hand over to the other job-share receptionist so that tasks are completed and any issues arising are understood and actioned.

Remuneration will be paid in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement.
