Operations Manager

Do you have a passion for all things relating to property? Read on if you do!  Nelson College for Girls, Te Kura o Tamawāhine Whakatū has an exciting role in our vibrant kura overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of property across all entities of our school, to meet our school’s objectives.

This role will have a strategic element, but just as importantly it will require a hands-on approach, with gaining an understanding of all our property infrastructure and systems so you can step in when necessary to ensure the smooth operation of our school. You will also manage and support our small property team which includes our caretaker and grounds person.

You will need to be an effective verbal and written communicator as you will work collaboratively with a number of key stakeholders to develop property projects, that will enhance learning environments and outcomes for our ākonga, within budget and timelines.

As well as all things relating to property, you will be responsible for the school’s procurement and contract management, which will include negotiations, processes, procedures, and reviews. You will also be a key resource in assisting with the health and safety processes, hazard identification and mitigation under the leadership of our Assistant Principal.

This is a part time, 18 hours per week permanent position for 52 weeks of the year.

If you feel you have the motivation and drive to succeed in delivering the best outcomes for our ākonga and our kura, understand the importance of Te Tiriti and Te Reo Māori and upholding the vision, values, and high standards of Nelson College for Girls then we welcome your application.
